GT SL “Open Platform” Frames
These frames are my stock version of my Gravel Traveler. If there is one in stock in the dropdown it means I have that frame ready to go to paint for you.
The basic idea behind the GT SL Open Platform is that the frame design is already done the basic idea of the bike is ready to go, ie read the spec list below and that is how it comes. The SL part is that I have gone through even piece of material on the bike to find the most weight savings I can. In the case of these models, I have used the lightest (and notably the most expensive) headtubes, bb shells and tubing. It was legitimately days and days of working with materials on a scale to optimize the material mix. Anyway, the tubeset is a mix of Spirit HSS and Life tubing on the front end, and Spirit and Life for the back end to maximize strength to weight.
A note about design and fit.
The 55cm frame on listed for example, is designed to be able to handle quite a bit of type 2 fun. It has the ability to fit someone in that medium to large range depending on how you set up the cockpit. The top tube and reach are intensionally longer ish, to allow folks to run a proper “gravel fit” if they want but if they want run a more road ish fit that should work.
As always feel free to shoot me a note if you have any questions.

I love building all manner of bikes. However, true to the lifeblood of where I came from and what brought me to cycling was the mountain bike. The Loam Roamer is the most current iteration of that idea. I spent a vast majority of almost 20 years riding trails, evading ranger (sometimes not) and scurrying through the night with my friend all around southern Marin. The camaraderie and friendships build while shredding Tam's single-track or hiding in the bushes while spot beams passed over our heads are in the DNA of this bike. Its about adventure, getting out there, possibly even getting to where you are bit (or possibly alot) out of your comfort zone, and of course summing it up with a beer and some laughs.
The DropKicker. Yes a punny play on words, but also really wraps up what I think this genre of bike should be. There are “divide” bikes, monster cross bikes, bike packing rigs and various iterations of similar designs that have been popping up. At the core however, what I was aiming for was an actual mountain bike with some tweaks to make it dropbar VERY capable. I was fortunate enough to be able to test out the design on the 2019 Grinduro course, and I can attest to the fact that it did as advertised. so much so that I also rode it a few days later on some pretty rocky trails in Tahoe.
The other great thing about this bike is it adaptability. Fully Rigid, sure! Truss fork from Oddity Cycles, why not? 100mm travel SID Ultimate, heck yeah! Loaded up with bags and disappear into the sunset, well that my friends is 100%! So whether you want something a little different, a lot different or you own personal escape pod, DropKicker is ready to get you there.

Thunder Pig was born out of a term my buddy and I used to call our over built but super fun bikes. This incarnation of Thunder Pig is no different. Grab a burrito, a jacket, your repair kit and come back at sundown, or tomorrow even; who knows with Thunder Pig might take you.
120mm travel
all rounder daily driver geo
2 h20 locations unless the seat tube one can’t fit, then you just get 1.
external routing only
if you want a bikepacking verision with a pile of holes in it you have to buy a Loam Roamer, I will not put a additional holes in the thunder pig.
Rigid forks are quoted but expect to be +$1000 with paint
BB T47 only unless otherwise noted
44mm ht
148mm spacing UDH compatible
Current design uses and eccentric bb made by White Industries. If you want sliders it is +$500
30.9 seat post diameter.
Paved or Path Less Pedaled on of these has got you covered.
The All-Groad and Pure Road are your quintessential drop bar machines. What’s the difference you may ask? Well its pretty simple, one has discs and clears up to 700×38c and anything below that and the other is your standard road bike with rim brakes. In either case, both models are meant to get out there and move quick and handle like the road bike you’ve loved or the one you dream of. They are now offered in Titanium as well so if you want quick and super light I gotcha covered.
Guess what!? I got a fever and the only prescription is... More Cowbell!
Like the rowdy sidelines of a world cup cross race, the only one thing that will take it up a level, More Cowbell. While lots of companies are trying to merge their gravel and cross bike into one you can do it all bike, the More Cowbell says, "Nuts to that!" This is a real cross bike with cross geometry and makes no compromises about its. Its steeper, shorter and has less bb drop than the Gravel Traveler and Dirt Kan. These traits give it the edge when the tape is laid out and the starting gun fires. Some of the other benefits of the More Cowbells is that is has loads of tire clearance, (It will clear a 45c no problem.), all the stock bottle bosses are "blind" meaning on those mud soaked courses you won't have to worry about taping up your h20 cage holes., and when it comes to fun on dirt this thing will rip singletrack pretty dang well.
So like Bruce Dickinson said, "I'm telling ya fellas... You're gonna want that cowbell on that track.
(More Cowbell pictured is stock geometry with custom dropout, paint and headbadge option.)
This is a great do-all adventure carbon fork. Features include:
Full Carbon Construction
Internal Brake Routing
Internal Dynamo Routing
Flip Chip Offset for 47mm or 52mm
Any Cage Mounts (6kg max load. same as Enve)
Crown Boss for Light Mount.

400mm A-C
Brand new ready to roll FRAME SET $2600shipped Super rad #graveltraveler dark grey with metallic turquoise graphics and inside of fork. Frame set was built, painted and delivered to customer, but then decided I should build him a #loamroamer instead. So this bad jamma is ready to ship. Essentially a 54cm. Geo chart is last photo. It is the last frame I built in which I had enough and the right tubing to do a a true temper OX Platinum front end and seat stays. Chainstays are Columbus but I generally like those better for gravel anyhoo. In any case, ths bike is truly one to swoop on if your in the market. You’d be hard pressed to get a frame with this tube set and such a hot colorway. Oh and internal dropper compatible if your into that sort of thing. #gravelbike #gravelstoke #gravel #handmade #steelisreal #oxplatinum #truetemper
A concept created with Columbus, Sram and myself to pay homage to my family’s history, I created this bike with some very specific details. It also happened to be the 100 year anniversary for Columbus so it was a prefect project.
The Frame Specs:
Columbus Cento Tubing: Specially made for the 100 anniversary of Columbus. This was a VERY LIMITED run tubeset with specific tube specs and butt profiles that the builder had to chose specific to the production geometry. It also have engraved BB with the crazy bubble shell, Engraved internal cut headtube, and Columbus seat tube sleeve with carved out bird.
MAP Stainless Steel dropouts: these were custom made dropouts that Carl at Metal-Guru had made. These were the last of them. Beautiful window design, they just don’t make dropouts like this anynore..
Wireless ONLY Design.
Fully Custom Wet Paint design executed by Angry Bovine Design Studio, Paint done Ollie at Dark Matter Finishing with Debossed Logos and matching Silca frame pump.
The details on this paint are amazing, it is designed to take it queues from Olivetti Valentine typewriter designed by Ettore Sotsass.
Component Specs:
Sram Force AXS 12 speed wireless Rim Brake group.
The Chain, Cranks and BB are brand new just replaced: nothing wrong with the old ones, I just happened to have a new setup that thought would be nice for the buyer.
Columbus Futura Tapered Carbon Fork meticulously painted to match the designed colorway.
Zipp 303 NSW Carbon Rim Brake Road Wheels with new Enve SL 29c tires (thought slightly discolored for some reason,)
Upgrade to NEW Shimano Ultegra Brakes, the Force Brakes were too weak. I literally have IS NEVER USED THESE BRAKES ON THE BIKE THEY ARE NEW OUT OF BOX ON THE BIKE has extra set of carbon pads as well.
New Enve Stem and Seat post.
Zipp Service Course SL bar 42cm
Silca Impero Ultimate Frame Pump: custom painted to follow color way
Condition:
This bike has been one of the best riding bikes I have ever had or made. I just don’t ride it enough, and in so it has been sitting either in my office or in my work shop, and after it took 2 or so brushes with stuff in the shop putting some small scratches in the paint, I figured it is best to get the bike into the hands of someone who will ride it rather than let it continually sit around. I have posted as many accurate photos as I can here. There are many new parts which are listed above. The whole bike is roughly 16.5 lbs, and rides like a dream.
The tubeset and paint alone were well over $2500, I am pretty firm on the price but feel free to reach out. You will never find another bike like this one!

The Gravel Traveler has now come to encompass a wide range of usage and functionality. in its latest incarnations it is truly the most versatile drop bar rig I make. What makes it so versatile you ask? Well, to start since all my bikes are custom I am able to optimize the design to your specific needs. More importantly, at its core this bike has a stable but still quick handling geometry, plenty of tire clearance (steel will clear a 700x45c easily, titanium 700x42c), and made from some of the best materials there are. So whether you need a bike to head out on a local gravel ride, hit your local cx race (though not a full cx rig, that’s the More Cowbell.) or want to find yourself lost in a maze of glorious dirt tracks I can build a Gravel Traveler that will suite your quiver killing needs.
For some time I ran 2 options for geo on this bike the traditional Gravel Traveler and a longer lower trail version the GTLT. Most folks have moved over to wanting max clearances, my designs have moved as well. So I have defaulted the design back to the original name Gravel Traveler. Since as noted everything is custom, we can sort out your specific goals and optimize your design for whatever clearances and geometry you need. It should be noted as standards evolve and what folks ask for changes, I have seen a trend for folks moving into my DropKicker zone for really big clearances for gravel. In my humble opinion if you want a bike that clears a 700x51c tire (most commonly called a 29x2.0” mountain bike tire.) then you want a drop bar mountain bike aka the aforementioned DropKicker.
